Lumary WFM - This article provides an overview of the key features of the shift functionality for managing multiple sessions from Lumary WFM.
Shifts are a type of session that allow you to wrap sessions for ease of management. Shifts can be managed directly from the rostering calendars. Right-clicking on an individual shift will allow you to quickly manage key shift features.
This article explains how to:
Switch to the shift view on a roster
To change the roster calendar display between Session View and Shift View:
- Go to either the base roster, roster period or live schedule.
- Look for the drop-down menu located next to the time zone selector.
- Click the drop-down and select either Session View or Shift View.
- The calendar will update to display your selected view.
Each view displays different content:
- The Session View will only show sessions. If the session has been assigned to a shift, it will indicate this by displaying a blue dot in the top-right corner of the session's card.
- The Shift View will only show shifts.
Hover over a shift for details
To see more information about a specific shift:
- Hover your mouse pointer over a shift.
- A details popup will appear showing:
- shift name
- status
- site location
- start and end dates and times
- assigned worker, and
- associated sessions.
This quick preview lets you access important shift information without leaving the calendar view.
Add or change a worker
To add or reassign a shift to a different worker:
- Be aware that:
- only one worker can be assigned to a shift, and
- changing the assigned worker will update ALL associated sessions.
- Go to the Shift View in the roster screen.
- Right-click on the shift you want to modify.
- Select Modify Workers from the dropdown menu.
- In the Modify Workers screen:
- remove the currently assigned worker, and
- use the Worker field to select a new worker.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
The system will update the assigned worker on both the shift record and all associated sessions.
