You can modify session times from a base roster, roster period, or the live Scheduling roster, when the session or shift is in Draft, Rostered, or In Progress status. You cannot modify session times if the session or shift status is Complete or Cancelled.
- Right-click the session from the base roster, roster period or live schedule.
- Select Modify Session Times (if modifying a session) OR Modify Shift Times (if modifying a shift) from the menu. Note: for shifts, you must move the sessions first and then the shift can be moved.
- Update the Start Day/Date/Time and End Day/Date/Time fields in the popup form. Ensure the new times are within the roster or shift’s overall schedule.
- Click Save to apply the new session times.
If the session has workers or clients assigned, validation alerts may appear if the new times conflict with existing assignments or roster rules. Hover over any alert icon to see details and resolve issues.
Tips and best practices
- Try to update session times in the base roster if the session will repeat in multiple roster periods, as this will automatically adjust future sessions.
- For group sessions, check that all attendees’ schedules align with the new times.
- Use the live schedule to make immediate changes for individual sessions occurring soon.
